So, I've been working on a lil' website lately. My Higher Self kinda-sorta told me to start on it back in October, so lo and behold, I did.
It's a website for indigos - and only indigos. Made by yours truly, another indigo.
Wondering what an "indigo" is? Go check out my site and click where it says "What is an Indigo?"
Here's a link - enjoy (hopefully?): Emerging Indigos
And yes. Yes, that is an alias I'm going by, just as I am here. The internet can be a dangerous place, ya know.

The Truth About Indigos
I've described myself - right at the top of my page, if you look - as an indigo adult. Now, I know a lot of you are wondering what exactly an indigo is - so this post will be dedicated to telling everyone "the truth about indigos".
I say "the truth" because there is a lot of incorrect information out there about us. For instance, that we are "angels on earth" - sure, who knows?
We may have been in another life or something. But right now, we're human - flesh and blood. We eat, drink, and breathe just like everybody else - we aspire to do things like everyone else, and most of all - we make mistakes, just like normal people do.
Nobody is perfect. Not even an indigo.
I know I'm not speaking for all indigos when I say this - but I, for one, hate being treated like I'm something above everybody else - being treated like I'm "special", or whatever. Sure, okay, I'm different.
I'll give you that. We are different. But we are also human, like everyone else in a lot of ways.
There are really only a few key differences between indigos and an average, non-indigo person. Here's what I'm talking about:
Anyway, here's my point: we are different. Indigos are different in a lot of ways to non-indigos, and these are just a few of them.
At the same time, we have a lot in common with the "average joe". So don't just dismiss us as some sort of new age bullshit - we're not! It's not only a spiritual thing, it's a personality thing. And that's the point I'm trying to make.
Here are some very informative websites about indigos/crystals/star children:
My friend Sophie's (a fellow indigo adults) blog entry about indigos, aptly titled "How to Tell if You Are Indigo" - this one has a couple of things that hit home with me that I still, to this day, can't find anywhere else: Sophia Gubb's Blog. I highly recommend you read this first before anything else.
A general outlining of indigo traits here
And that's it. It gets rather repetitive if you read page after page. =)
Also, on a parting note: about 10 percent out of 99 percent of Doreen Virtue's writings are bullshit. Just saying.

P.S. - If you'd like to hear and/or learn more about indigo children/adults and the star child phenomena - tune in to a show I'm co-hosting, starting tomorrow night at 8 pm Pacific Standard Time: Obscure Odyssey Radio
I'll be interviewed, as well as my friend Sophie (another indigo) and the famed astrologer Donna Cunningham - who's discovered similarities in peoples astrology charts born between 1988 and the late 90s (indigos!). It oughta be an awesome first show so be sure to tune in. =) /end shameless plug

I'll give you that. We are different. But we are also human, like everyone else in a lot of ways.
There are really only a few key differences between indigos and an average, non-indigo person. Here's what I'm talking about:
Indigo vs Non-Indigo Traits & Comparison
- Indigos naturally rebel against any type of conformity. A lot of us have trouble in school because of this. When an adult says, "you have to do this because I'm the adult and I told you to" - we don't buy it. Why should we do what you say, just because you're older? Being an adult is not a valid reason - it's the intention behind why you're asking us to do what you want us to do.
- A non-indigo will obey authority because it's normal to them. They usually like to go with the flow and not "rock the boat". Indigos will "rock the boat" if told to do something they don't agree with OR are told to do "just because". We need a good reason or it won't happen.
- Indigos are born as "old souls". What I mean by that is that as children, we hate being talked down to, just because we are wise beyond our years and quite intelligent.
- A non-indigo is not normally born intelligent. They learn as they grow, either through school or other means. Indigos don't work that way - that is not to say that we don't benefit from an education. We do.
- Indigos learn quickly - very quickly - our brains are like "sponges". If something interests us, we yearn to learn more about it. We love learning most of the time - just not in the average school system. We find them stifling.
- A non-indigo can go either way on this. They can hate school just to hate it, or they can love school and thrive there.
- Indigos are born with innate, natural intuition and intuitive abilities. We're born with empathy, psychometry, and whatever else (this varies among different indigos - there is no set of abilities we all come with).
- A non-indigo has to work to get these abilities. They have to learn them and as they learn, the abilities will manifest.
- Indigos know when somebody is lying to them. Even if the person lying to us doesn't admit it, we know, and will eventually find out the truth. We seek the truth and hate lies and liars.
- A non-indigo may not necessarily know if someone is lying to them, but they do have this in common with indigos: hating liars, lies and seeking the truth.
- Indigos feel like they're different. Hell, we know we're different. We're constantly told how different we are. I myself feel like "an alien in a strange land".
- A non-indigo can feel this way as well. You don't have to be an indigo to feel alienated and strange.
- Indigos connect amazingly well with children and/or animals. They're purer spiritually and not corrupt like a lot of others are. I myself have an amazing connection with my two dogs - I love them to pieces and even connect to them on a spiritual level. (Yes, I'm serious. Deal with it.)
- A non-indigo can connect well with children and animals, too. Again, it doesn't take an indigo to do this. There are great mothers, baby sitters and what-have-you that do pretty well with kids. There are animal trainers and owners that connect well with animals and do good with them, too. The main difference is that they may not connect with them spiritually/psychically, like indigos do sometimes.
- About 99 percent of indigos are naturally creative. We are poets, artists, painters, photographers. We love being creative and are usually pretty damn good at it. I'm a poet, short story writer, sketcher/painter and soon-to-be photographer. It comes naturally to me, and I'm sure a lot of indigos can say the same.
- Non-indigos can be naturally artistic, too.

Petty Tyrants.
Today, I will write about something about which this image perfectly represents (in my opinion): petty tyrants. They are defined by Don Juan in Carlos Castaneda's The Teachings of Don Juan book series as: "A petty tyrant is a tormentor.. Someone who either holds the power of life and death over warriors or simply annoys them to distraction." However, they are so much more than that.
Since I can remember, I have always had someone who pestered me, annoyed me or just plain tortured me - physically, verbally, emotionally, and mentally - and yes, even spiritually. I never knew nor understood why. I started believing that something in me must've been attracting these people; that was, before I read Carlos Castaneda's books.
Even now, I still experience annoyance and harassment by one. Currently, there is a crazy woman who works in my apartment building that for a week straight - has banged on my door hard enough to make it shake once and last night, twice, a day.
Why? Well, the truth of it is I have no idea. She will not call, she will not leave a note. Yesterday she began to shout for me to 'open up' and 'let her in' over the yapping of my two small dogs.
Because she was acting so unstable, I was afraid for my and my dogs safety and hence I have refused to open the door and have had a third party contact the owner of said building.
Immediately after said third party contacted the owner, she retaliated by sending a maintenence man to my door at 8 at night - when I was trying to get ready for bed. Again, I did not answer the door because he, too, was acting unstable and I did not feel safe.
I am now losing sleep over this because it has only gotten more severe as time passes. When I lose sleep, my immune system is even worse than usual - and I catch a cold.
That's happened. It is outright harassment and I now realize that she is a petty tyrant - which is what inspired me to write this post.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I'm giving you just a small example of what a petty tyrant can be - although depending on how you look at it, it could also be perceived as an extreme example.
Moving on.
"Nothing can temper the spirit of a warrior as much as the challenge of dealing with impossible people in positions of power."
The above quote explains a lot about what petty tyrants are. They are normally a person - man or woman, whatever age or social/economical background, it doesn't matter - with a little or a lot of power.
More than once I have had them in the form of an apartment building manager or employee. A few other examples that I've personally experienced are pharmacists, Walmart and grocery store check out employees, bus drivers. The list goes on and on.
About 99 percent of the time they will just annoy or harass you. Sometimes they will insult you in the process. Rarely, but it does happen (so I've heard) - they can take the form of drug/sex/human traffickers, serial killers, hostage takers, and criminals in general that can and may just take your life or severely hurt you. I have been accused of being a drug addict by a pharmacist for no reason whatsoever - this person had just met me and had made their own assumptions. That's the insulting part I speak of. They then refused to give me my medication for a week because "my insurance wouldn't cover it". It was a lie; they would, and I had to call them on it and I then received my medication - after a couple days worth of dangerous withdrawal that could've killed me.
Over all, think of a petty tyrant as a way to build patience as well as mental, emotional and spiritual endurance. However bad it may seem on the outside, it is to eventually bring you to the next spiritual level. Do not give up. Deal with it directly if at all possible - a lot of times, the problem will only worsen if you avoid it. I admit; I have a problem with that myself. Don't be like me. :]
For more information, refer to this and this for references and a better explanation than I can provide. Also, obviously, buy (support your local bookstores!) or check out from your local library Carlos Castaneda's The Teachings of Don Juan series. While they are fairly old books, they are readily available and have a lot of extremely valuable and useful information in them. You may find the one that specifically talks about petty tyrants here, and the rest of them here.
Please do not try the techniques you see in these books at home. They are educational and useful in theory but as the techniques are only half-explained in book form, it would be dangerous and damn right stupid to try them.
If my dear readers have any questions, comments, feedback or experiences they would like to share with me about the above topic, please email them to celestialdoorway@yahoo.com. I will almost always answer right away.

Ghosts/Spirits/Entities & Tips to Protect Yourself.
Hello again!
So, I've had a very interesting couple of weeks. Lets start at the beginning, shall we?
Since my first post on this blog - and about a couple of weeks before that, come to think of it - I've had a ghost/spirit/entity/something wandering around my little apartment. At first I thought, well, maybe I was imagining it - isn't that what we all think at first?
But after my also-psychic mother confirmed that she felt/saw it as well - and believe me, she's not the type to lie for my benefit (she can be a little too honest, actually).. I knew it was real. Two people can't hallucinate the same thing, after all.
Tonight it happened again. My mother felt it first, and then I felt it after. It was the spirit again - and immediately I asked her to find a lighter and start lighting some white votive candles. We prayed over them to bless them - seems to make it more potent, whether you believe in it or not.
I lit some Dragons Blood incense, for protection. Cones work the best. It also doubles as something that will make the spirit leave and not attack you in the process (because yes, they can and will sometimes retaliate).
We prayed once more and proceeded to ignore its presence (even though it actually moaned at me - right next to me; scary shit).
But sometimes, when a spirit is attempting to leave and you pay it mind, it will stay. So if you want to get rid of it, and you do the steps above, do not talk about it. Do not shout at it. Do not even think about it. Because if you give it attention, it will stay to get more.
As it is, just typing the entry I feel it prowling around again. But, for you my dear readers, I will risk it. =)
Now, I know it sounds ridiculous. Incense cones and votive candles? Prayer? "What is she, a religious freak?", you're thinking, right?
No. I'm not. I am Christian, but I hate the so-called Christians who shove their religion down peoples throats - I've had it done to me, when I was going through a non-belief part of my life - and I would never do it to someone else.
Besides, when you've looked evil in the face and looked good in its face as well - when you've seen shadow figures from 6 years old onward, had demons visit your stepfather and angels talk to your mother - well, you kind of don't have a choice except to believe. But that's not my point.
Even if you don't believe in God, nor the devil - it doesn't mean that evil doesn't believe in you. If you don't believe, fine. Use what I'm talking about in a purely ritual form; you don't have to believe in it for there to be an effect.
If it comes back, do it again. And again. Eventually it will get the picture and move on.
However, if it begins to get worse, or the steps I've outlined are no longer effective, call in the professionals. Call a Catholic priest to bless and exorcise your home. Hell, call Ghost Hunters if you want to be sure before you go that far.
DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, call in a wiccan/pagan/witch/etc to help you. I have nothing against them, but they do bring in even worse entities when they cast their spells - whether they admit it or even are aware of it, or not. They will only worsen the spirit/ghost/entity problems!
Again, I have tried Wicca myself and I had shadow figures all over my home and poltergeists yanking my blanket away in my sleep. I shit you not. So DO NOT call them into a haunted house!
That also goes for yourself. I will only say this once: you practice witchcraft, you open the door to evil things. Things you do not ever want to meet.
You mess with a ouija board, the same thing happens except worse. Ten times worse. If you have one in your home and you're experiencing a haunting, throw it in the garbage. Do not burn it, that makes it worse. Throw it away and don't look back.
Now that my little 'rant' is over..
My spirit problem is not all gone yet. I've gone through this many-a-time, and as long as I keep up the steps outlined above, they eventually go away and don't bother me again.
In case you all didn't read my long-winded entry, here's a short list version of the tips I outlined:

My spirit problem is not all gone yet. I've gone through this many-a-time, and as long as I keep up the steps outlined above, they eventually go away and don't bother me again.
In case you all didn't read my long-winded entry, here's a short list version of the tips I outlined:
- First, light Dragons Blood incense. It will protect you and banish the spirits simulataneously. Incense cones are the best, but sticks work as well.
- Second, get white votive candles. Pray the Lords Prayer over them to bless the candles. Light them in every area of your home - and light more than one in the area where the spirit activity is heaviest.
- It helps if you have 'matching themes' for your candle holders and incense burners. but its not necessary. I.E., I have a three-headed dragon incense burner to burn Dragons Blood incense in. I have it because when I think of dragons, I think of fierceness and protection. I have a cross candle holder because it emphasizes the blessings power for the votive candles. Get the picture?
- Third, ignore the spirit when you complete the above steps. If you pay it any attention, it will stay and/or come back for more. If you leave it be and pay it no heed, it will leave.
- Religious belief is nice to have, but not necessary. As I said above, even if you don't believe in evil, it believes in you. The same goes for good. The Lords Prayer is necessary, but if you don't believe, no worries - just use it as a purely ritual matter. No skin off your bones. ;)
- If the haunting/whatever worsens, call in the cavalry. If you want, call in Ghost Hunters to prove it so you don't look crazy. As long as afterward, you call a Catholic priest to bless and cleanse your home.
- Under NO circumstances do you call in a Wiccan, Pagan, and/or witch! I have no qualms against them or their religion, but I promise you, if you let them in your home to cast a spell and cleanse your home that way - it will worsen your problems! DON'T DO IT.
- To prevent hauntings and/or spirits/ghosts/entities/etc entering your home, do not use ouija (pronounced: wee-gee) boards under any circumstances. You may think it's just a board game or whatever, but I assure you - it is not. It is a gateway and will open the doors for demons and things much worse to enter your home. It's not "fucking metal", it's scary and may kill you.
- The same goes for any witchcraft paraphernalia - cauldrons, stone mixing bowls, athames (witches daggers), wands (yes, they actually do exist), and especially spellbooks and/or books about wicca/paganism/witchcraft. ANYTHING associated with witchcraft carries the same energy a witch would - boil it down, it's the same as letting one in your home! Don't do it. You'll sorely regret it. If you have anything like what I listed, or even anything similar - do the same as you would for a ouija board. Don't burn it, just throw it in the trash can and don't look back.
- To prevent hauntings in the 'long-run', when you first move into a new home (or even if you've lived there a while) - put a loaf of French bread (still wrapped), a box of Kosher salt (unopened), a white candle (preferably a prayer candle - you know, the type you see with the Virgin Mary, etc on it? works the best - unlit, too, in case you're wondering), and a glass bottle of red wine (unopened) at the highest point of your house. The top of the refrigerator works the best. Sounds crazy, I know, but it works. Just try it if you don't believe me. Also - if the French bread goes bad, replace it.
- Again, to prevent hauntings, I suggest you do not practice Wicca/Paganism/Witchcraft yourself. Don't do it, especially if you're unexperienced and don't know what the hell you're getting into - even I, an experienced psychic, tried it once with disastrous results. You will get hurt and you may die. The same goes for your family and friends. I'm not kidding, people. This is serious shit.
- And finally, if you want to call in a psychic for help, that's fine. But if they mention anything at all about spirit guides or letting spirits possess them, or anything similar, run for the hills! They are not to be trusted. Even if they're not aware of it, they may hurt you in the long run.

First post.
So, this is my first post, as the title says. Here I will be making a list of things that will be posted in the future.
But - first of all - let me introduce myself. My name is Gabrielle.
I may be young, but I have a lot of experience in this field. Sure, maybe not "officially" or "on record", but I've grown up in a family of psychics, tarot readers and astrologers; my Christmases used to be attended by psychic investigators and homeopathic doctors.
My mother worked with Dorothy Allison. Not that I'm bragging, but if I'm going to put important info on here, I want it to be believed.
I've seen shadow figures since I was in the crib (yes, seriously). I've communicated with ghosts of family members that have passed on.
I've read the tarot from 13 years old until the present day. I've known things about people that they don't know about themselves.
But I digress.
Here are some of the posts you'll see here:

Here are some of the posts you'll see here:
- An informative post about indigos and starchildren - why not everything you read about them is truth.
- A constantly updated post outlining spiritual literature that I recommend, and occasionally reviews of the same.
- Information about Ascension/Awakenings - and how to tell if you're having one.
- How-to's on how to protect yourself from unwanted spirits/ghosts - if of course, you can't call in the professionals.
- Information on psychic attacks and how to defend yourself; also information for helpful literature about the same.
- How to tell if the psychic(s) you wish to hire are frauds/will cause more harm than good. While not every psychic is a fraud, there are quite a few that are.
- Preventative information about how to keep ghosts/unwanted spirits out of your home.
- And much more.
